About us
RAILSoft is an integrated IT system created by a team of Petrosoft.pl experts, ensuring optimization of work in the full range of railway processes. The system has been built on the basis of many years of experience and expectations of our customers and is constantly developed in the light of the latest requirements set by the railway market for our customers.
A team of dozens of analysts, architects, programmers is still working to ensure that RailSoft always offers the most up-to-date solutions in the field of planning, implementation, supervision and analysis of business processes: maintenance and operation of railway vehicles, maintenance and operation of railway infrastructure, supervision over employee competences, supervision over documentation rail, logistics and rail traffic.
The system also supports reporting to offices (UTK) and perfectly integrates with ERP systems such as SAP, Comarch, Impuls and others. The combination of mobile technologies and IOT allows you to supervise processes in the field in real time, both related to the work of people and the proper operation of machines, devices and vehicles.

CTL Logistics Group – the company started its activity in 1992. It operates in the area of logistics services, which it provides through rail and road transport of goods, including cross-border transport. The company’s activities include: forwarding, operation of railway sidings, maintenance of rolling stock, construction and service of railway infrastructure, transshipment services, customs consulting and supply of raw materials. The area of activity for CTL Logistics is Europe – both eastern and western. The main customers of the company are coal mining concerns, aggregates, fuel companies, chemical plants, household appliance manufacturers, FMCG logistics, energy companies, container operators and many others. Over 25 years of presence on the market shows the company as a reliable business partner, which is one of the leading freight carriers in Poland.
Business situation before the implementation of the solution
– implementation of the main business process, which is the planning and implementation of freight transport using many tools and solutions (no one coherent solution for the full process)
– long delays in transferring data from the ground to the control panel (e.g. R7 documents) due to the manual circulation of information
– generating error risks, poor performance and high cost of handling major business processes due to inconsistent and non-integrated IT solutions or lack thereof.
– a huge variety of transport orders and a wide range of services and additional processes (maintenance of rolling stock, workshops, etc…), which caused significant difficulties in optimizing internal processes using the current fragmented and non-integrated IT solutions
Solution
Petrosoft.pl Technologie Informatyczne Sp. z o.o. has delivered and implemented software for managing a railway undertaking. The work consisted in the analysis, production, delivery, configuration and training in the operation of the system, taking into account the dedicated, newly created functionalities of railsoft Business Solutions software, which allowed to further precisely improve and merge the processes implemented in the company’s business environment with the newly implemented system.
The delivered system supports and improves processes related to logistics and rail traffic, such as:
– maintenance of rolling stock,
– management of employees’ competences,
– customer relationship management (CRM),
– planning and implementation of transport,
– mobile solutions for processes on the ground,
– railway safety (BRK),
– financial controlling
– operational controlling.
Inside the software, all the most important resources of the company are defined, i.e. over 150 traction vehicles and several thousand wagon wagons constantly operated by 176 office users and 249 mobile users (drivers and auditors) using the RAILSoft system.
The system is constantly developed, improved and maintained in accordance with the requirements of railway regulations of Polish law and changing conditions of the constantly developing network and server environment and individual business needs of CTL LOGISTICS Sp. z o.o. In order to meet these expectations to the highest standards, Petrosoft.pl remains fully operational by providing maintenance and service support services.

Transport process management at Captrain Sp. z o.o.

Captrain Polska Sp. Z o.o. – a company founded in 2006 with its registered office in Wrocław – offers a wide range of rail transport services inside, to and from Central and Eastern Europe. In 2008, it obtained the required safety certificate and since then it has been providing rail freight transport services in Polish. Captrain Polska Sp. z o.o. together with the Captrain Deutschland group also offers international transport services as part of the east-west communication corridor, and thanks to cooperation with railways in Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine – „tailor-made” rail logistics services from and to Eastern Europe. The company serves a variety of industries, including steel, chemical, construction and energy.
Business situation before the implementation of the solution
When implementing the required business processes, the company used many distributed environments and non-integrated solutions. This was characterized by the lack of access to reliable and transparent data in real mode required by managers and the Management Board. This resulted in inefficient work that consumed the high cost of data aggregation and completion as well as time-consuming analyzes carried out by CAPTRAIN Polska Sp. z o.o. employees.
The main need of the company was a single, multi-module, centralized, system solution providing the ability to manage business processes related to the planning and implementation of transport, maintenance of rolling stock, employee competences, CRM, as well as all business processes as well as quick access to data in real time.
Solution
Petrosoft.pl Technologie Informatyczne Sp. z o.o. has delivered and implemented software for managing a railway company. The work consisted in the delivery, configuration, implementation with dedicated programming add-ons of railSoft Business Solutions software.
The delivered system supports and improves processes related to logistics and rail traffic as well as maintenance of rolling stock and railway infrastructure , management of employee competences, customer relations (CRM), planning and implementation of transport, railway safety (BRK), as well as financial and resource and process controlling.
Inside the software, all the most important company resources are defined, i.e. 73 traction vehicles and 125 wagons constantly operated by 71 office users and 111 mobile users (drivers and auditors) using the RAILSoft system.
The system is constantly developed, improved and maintained in accordance with the requirements of the railway regulations of Polish law and the changing conditions of the constantly developing network and server environment and the individual business needs of CAPTRAIN Polska Sp. z o.o., therefore Petrosoft.pl provides maintenance and maintenance support services.

PKP Energetyka – how RailSoft improved the work of the infrastructure service

PKP Energetyka S.A. has been operating on the Polish market since 2001. The main task of the company is to sell and supply electricity to traction and business customers. The company also specializes in the provision of services in the field of maintenance and emergency response of railway networks, operates service stations for diesel locomotives. It has 20,000 km of distribution network and has a fleet of highly specialized trains and railway equipment throughout Poland. PKP Energetyka is owned by one of the largest investment funds in the world – CVC Capital Partners.
Business situation before the implementation of the solution
When implementing the required business processes, PKP ENERGETYKA did not have a system solution, and its activities were based on MS Office tools and railway paper documents. These solutions did not provide adequate security, transparency of editing and access to information in real mode.
Solution
The implemented system provides comprehensive support for all processes related to financial and resource and process controlling, as well as rail traffic logistics, maintenance of rolling stock and infrastructure, employee management, railway safety (BRK), as well as planning and implementation of transport. Inside the software, all the most important company resources are defined, i.e. 185 traction vehicles and 407 wagons constantly operated by 522 office users and 1306 mobile devices operated by drivers and auditors using the RAILSoft system.
